Visualization
10.
Empowering the subconscious mind through visualization.
CREATIVE SELF-CARE
Your mind’s eye is a powerful tool for finding clarity. It allows you to connect to the power of your imagination and intuition by creating a mental picture of your soul’s truth. Through visualization, sensory activation, and creative documentation, energy is aligned with intention.
The practice of Creative Visualization has proven to aid in manifestation, increased confidence, and anxiety reduction.
Creative Visualization…
…triggers your creative subconscious which will, in turn, start generating creative ideas to achieve your goals.
…activates the Law of Attraction, thereby drawing into your life the people, resources, and circumstances you will need to fulfill your dreams.
…helps mitigate stress and reduce anxiety by making it easier for you to anticipate possible roadblocks and imagine workable solutions.

MONTHLY THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITY VISUALIZATION WHEEL
Materials: Sketchbook, coloring tool (such as pencils, crayons, pens, or paint)
Suggested: Empathy Wheel for key word reference, scent of choice (essential oil, candles, room spray, fresh flowers, or my favorite incense).
The therapeutic activity below documents your goals and desires. Set aside 1-2 hours to apply your visualization to paper. Light a candle or burn incense to create a trigger for your subconscious mind to come back to. Scent is a powerful tool that activates memory, allowing us to fully embody the essence of what we visualized.
Complete the Daily Ritual.
After completing the ritual, record keywords in your sketchbook or journal that came to you during your meditation. Use the Empathy Wheel if you’re getting stuck. Was there an over-arching theme? Is there a goal you’re hoping to achieve? Document as much as you can.
On a separate page, draw or trace a circle and write down the theme of your visualization in the center.
Create sections that extend out from the theme. These sections act like categories and represent noteworthy attributes of the theme. I suggest keeping it to four or five sections total.
Fill in each section with colors, symbols, and shapes that reflect the key attributes of your visualization. Reference the key words you recorded earlier. Settle into this moment.
Embody the details of your visualization and become familiar with all of the components. For example, where are you? what is the temperature? what sounds do you hear?
The art you create is your visualization processed through your innate creativity. Hang it some place where you’ll see it every day. Activate your scent to be reminded of all of the subtleties from your creative process. Watch as your visualization unfolds.
